Eligibility
Eligible veterans with service-connected disabilities who qualify for VR&E may pursue self-employment if VA determines it is an appropriate rehabilitation outcome.
Requirements
- Apply for VA Veteran Readiness and Employment benefits.
- Work with a VR&E counselor to determine whether self-employment is feasible and appropriate.
- Complete an approved rehabilitation plan and provide required business planning, feasibility, and expense documentation.
