Eligibility
Eligible SSI recipients who are blind or disabled may submit a PASS to set aside income or resources for expenses needed to reach a work goal, including self-employment when a business plan is included.
Requirements
- Applicant must receive or qualify for SSI and have a disability or blindness under Social Security rules.
- Applicant must complete Form SSA-545-BK with a specific work goal.
- If the goal is self-employment, applicant must submit a business plan.
