California Competes Tax Credit is a negotiated income tax credit for businesses that want to locate, stay, or grow in California and create jobs and investment that benefit the state economy.
Eligibility
Businesses of any size or industry considering California expansion or retention projects and able to compete on job creation, wages, investment, and strategic importance.
Requirements
- Apply through GO-Biz during an open application period
- Provide project, job, wage, investment, and tax information
- Execute tax credit agreement and meet milestones if awarded
