The Downtown Business Fund offers grants to help businesses, artists, and activators move into vacant downtown San Francisco storefronts and office spaces.
About this program
The Downtown Business Fund is a San Francisco Downtown Development Corporation program supporting downtown revitalization by helping businesses and organizations move into vacant commercial spaces. Move-In Grants can help cover tenant improvements, rent, design, equipment, activation, and other eligible costs for businesses and activators that bring foot traffic, neighborhood-serving uses, or cultural activity to downtown San Francisco.
Eligibility
Businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, nonprofits, and other activators moving into eligible vacant downtown San Francisco commercial spaces.
Requirements
- Project must activate an eligible downtown San Francisco commercial space.
- Applicant must submit through the Downtown Business Fund process.
- Funds must support eligible move-in, buildout, activation, equipment, or occupancy costs.
