About this program
The NYC Customized Training Grant Program provides federally funded reimbursement grants to help New York City businesses train and retain employees. Eligible Staten Island businesses can receive reimbursement for up to 60 percent of training costs for projects such as training employees on new equipment or software, adding new services or products, upskilling staff into hard-to-fill positions, or updating outdated skills. Grants range from $10,000 to $400,000, and businesses pay training costs up front before receiving quarterly reimbursement.
Eligibility
For-profit businesses based in New York City, including Staten Island, that have operated for more than one year and can train at least five employees, or apply jointly as a consortium if they have fewer than five employees.
