ADECA State Energy Program (SEP) — Energy-Efficient Retrofits
ADECA's SEP FY26 Energy-Efficient Retrofits program provides funding for energy efficiency improvements including lighting, HVAC, thermostats, and insulation. All projects must have a payback period of 10 years or less.

Eligibility
Local governments, educational institutions, and qualifying organizations in Alabama implementing energy efficiency retrofit projects with a payback period of 10 years or less.
Requirements
- Projects must have an energy payback period of 10 years or less (exception for photovoltaic systems)
- Eligible improvements include lighting, HVAC, programmable thermostats, insulation
- Must be a local government, educational institution, or qualifying entity in Alabama
