Texas Music Incubator Rebate (TMIR) Program
Tax rebate program providing eligible music venues and music festival promoters a full or partial rebate of mixed beverage gross receipts taxes or sales taxes from beer and wine remitted in the prior fiscal year, up to $100,000.

Annual application cycle opens September 1. The 2025 cycle is closed; 2026 cycle opens September 1, 2026. Backed by $20.2M biennial funding. Entities eligible for only one rebate per tax ID per fiscal year.
Eligibility
Music venues and music festival promoters in Texas. Must have at least 2 years of preceding history. Must consistently hire Texas-based musicians and meet specific licensing requirements (MB, N, BG, BW licensees).
