Eligibility
Eligible applicants are DSB vocational rehabilitation clients who are blind or visually impaired and whose self-employment goal is approved through a Self-Employment Plan and Individualized Plan for Employment.
Requirements
- Be eligible for North Carolina Division of Services for the Blind vocational rehabilitation services.
- Own, operate, and manage a for-profit business selling goods or services.
- Develop a written Self-Employment Plan that includes feasibility, business planning, accommodations, funding needs, and monitoring criteria.
