About this program
The East Lansing Downtown Development Authority Facade Improvement Program provides reimbursement assistance for exterior improvements to commercial buildings in the downtown DDA district. Eligible improvements can include facade repair, storefront upgrades, signage, lighting, awnings, masonry, windows, doors, and other visible exterior work that strengthens the downtown business district.
Eligibility
Owners and businesses with eligible commercial properties located within the East Lansing Downtown Development Authority district may apply for qualifying exterior improvement projects.
Requirements
- Property must be located within the East Lansing Downtown Development Authority district.
- Project must involve eligible exterior facade or storefront improvements.
- Applicant must receive program approval before beginning reimbursable work.
