About this program

The City of East Lansing administers Community Development Block Grant entitlement funds from HUD for eligible activities that benefit low- and moderate-income residents, improve neighborhoods, support public services, and address local community development priorities. Local funding decisions are made through the City's annual planning and application process.

Eligibility

Eligible nonprofit organizations, public agencies, community partners, and qualified project sponsors serving East Lansing residents or neighborhoods may apply when the City opens its CDBG funding process.

Requirements

  • Project must serve East Lansing residents or neighborhoods.
  • Activity must meet a HUD CDBG national objective.
  • Applicant must be an eligible organization or implementing partner under CDBG rules.
