IMLS Museums for America
Supports projects that strengthen the ability of an individual museum to serve its public through lifelong learning, community engagement, and collections stewardship. Funds projects in any museum discipline including art, history, science, children's, zoological, and tribal museums.

Cost share required for requests over $25,000. FY26 deadline closed March 13, 2026; FY27 cycle anticipated November 13, 2026.
Eligibility
Museums of all disciplines and sizes including nonprofit organizations, units of state or local government, and federally recognized Indian tribes that operate museums.
