South Dakota STEP reimburses eligible small businesses for export development expenses.
About this program
The South Dakota State Trade Expansion Program helps eligible small businesses begin exporting or expand into new international markets. Administered by the South Dakota Governor's Office of Economic Development with U.S. Small Business Administration support, STEP reimburses approved export development costs such as trade shows, foreign market sales trips, translation, website globalization, and related international marketing activities.
Eligibility
South Dakota small businesses that meet SBA STEP eligibility requirements and are pursuing new or expanded export sales.
Requirements
- Business must be located in South Dakota.
- Business must qualify as a small business under SBA rules.
- Applicant must be seeking to begin exporting or expand into new export markets.
