NHL/NHLPA Industry Growth Fund
League-wide fund supporting grassroots hockey programming, rink development, and DEI initiatives in NHL markets.
About this program
Established in 2013 as part of the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Industry Growth Fund (IGF) has dedicated over $200 million to develop programming, host events, and provide education that brings hockey to communities across North America. The IGF supports Learn to Play, First Shift, Future Goals STEM education, the Hockey Is For Everyone initiative, girls hockey programs, and rink development projects. Grants are administered through NHL clubs in partnership with local community organizations.
Eligibility
Nonprofit and community organizations partnering with an NHL club on grassroots hockey, DEI, or youth development programming.
Requirements
- Partner with an NHL club in your market
- Align programming with IGF pillars (youth participation, DEI, rink development, or education)
- Submit proposal through the partnering NHL club
