About this program
AARP Foundation SCSEP helps low-income, unemployed adults age 55 and older gain work experience, build skills, and connect to employment through paid community service assignments. Deadline notes: Enrollment depends on local availability and federal SCSEP funding. Notes: National SCSEP operator; New Jersey availability should be confirmed by county or local project.
Eligibility
Adults age 55 or older who are unemployed, meet income requirements, and need help entering or reentering the workforce.
Requirements
- Apply through AARP Foundation SCSEP or a local partner; provide age, income, employment status, work history, and eligibility documentation.
