About this program
The Richmond Small Business Facade Improvement Program helps eligible small businesses and qualified nonprofit storefronts in Iron Triangle, Coronado, and Santa Fe make exterior upgrades that improve curb appeal, safety, visibility, and commercial corridor vitality.
Eligibility
Ground-floor, street-facing retail or public-facing businesses, qualified nonprofit storefronts, and owners of vacant commercial spaces in eligible Richmond TCC neighborhoods with revenue of $2 million or less and an active Richmond business license.
Requirements
- Business must be located in Iron Triangle, Santa Fe, or Coronado
- Apply before beginning work and submit project description, contractor bids or materials list, landlord approval, and project timeline
- Projects must begin within 90 days of approval and be completed within 90 days of project start
