About this program
Grand Island Community Redevelopment Authority Life Safety and Infrastructure Grant Program supports development of upper-story residential units in and near the downtown core by reimbursing eligible life safety improvements after project completion.
Eligibility
Developers of new or existing upper-floor residential units in the designated Grand Island redevelopment area needing life safety equipment or building modifications.
Requirements
- Property must be in the designated area
- Developer must secure adequate debt financing and complete eligible improvements
- Submit completion evidence including certificates of occupancy, inspections, fire marshal approval, paid invoices, lien waivers, and actual costs
