About this program
The Renewable Energy Fund provides grant funding for qualifying, competitively selected renewable energy projects that benefit Alaskans and reduce dependence on diesel and other high-cost fuels.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include electric utilities, independent power producers, local governments, tribal councils, housing authorities, and other governmental utility entities.
Requirements
- Apply during an open REF round
- Submit technical, financial, and community benefit materials
- Receive recommendation and legislative appropriation
