Nashville CDBG Microenterprise Assistance

MDHA uses CDBG economic development funds for microenterprise assistance serving eligible Nashville entrepreneurs and very small businesses.

About this program

MDHA's CDBG Economic Development Initiatives include microenterprise assistance funded with federal Community Development Block Grant resources. The program supports eligible microenterprise activities that expand economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income persons in Nashville-Davidson County, typically through a selected nonprofit or partner organization providing technical assistance, training, or business support.

Eligibility

Eligible nonprofit partners and microenterprise service providers may apply or contract with MDHA to deliver assistance to qualifying Nashville microbusinesses and entrepreneurs.

Requirements

  • Activity must serve Nashville-Davidson County and meet a HUD CDBG economic development or microenterprise eligibility requirement.
  • Assisted microenterprises must meet applicable CDBG microenterprise criteria.
  • Applicant or partner must provide service scope, budget, beneficiary eligibility process, and performance measures.
