The Rhode Island Renewable Energy Fund supports renewable energy projects and market development through grants, incentives, and financing tools. Providence businesses, nonprofits, and property owners may use programs for eligible solar or clean energy installations when funding is available.

Eligible Rhode Island businesses, nonprofits, residents, and public entities with qualifying renewable energy projects.
Requirements
- Apply through the Rhode Island Commerce or REF program process before project completion
- Provide project specifications, contractor quotes, site information, and utility interconnection materials
- Meet technical, incentive, inspection, and reporting requirements
