About this program
The Resilient Northeast Georgia Trauma-Informed Communities Grant is managed through the Athens Area Community Foundation to support organizations working to prevent adverse childhood experiences for children and families and increase trauma-informed awareness and care delivery. Funding priorities include capacity building, expansion or scaling efforts, and program costs. Eligible organizations may serve Clarke County and other Northeast Georgia counties, and applications are accepted between May and June each year with average awards from $1,000 to $5,000.
Eligibility
Publicly supported 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, schools, churches, and government entities serving Clarke County or other eligible Northeast Georgia counties may apply if their work directly reduces the effects of trauma for community members from birth to age 26.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a publicly supported 501(c)(3) charitable organization, school, church, or government entity.
- Organization must serve Clarke County or another eligible Northeast Georgia county.
- Application must demonstrate direct impact in reducing the effects of trauma for community members from birth to age 26.
