NAACP-administered grants of $25,000 supporting Black-owned small businesses with traditionally limited access to capital.

About this program

The NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant, in partnership with Wells Fargo and Bank of America, has provided $25,000 grants to Black entrepreneurs across the United States to support business growth, capital needs, and workforce development. Recipients also gain access to mentorship and the NAACP business network. The program targets Black founders who have demonstrated traction but face structural barriers to traditional financing.

Eligibility

Black-owned U.S.-based small businesses with at least 51% Black ownership, operating for one or more years.

Requirements

  • Subscribe to NAACP entrepreneurship alerts for application opening
  • Submit business profile including financials and growth plan
  • Document at least 51% Black ownership
