About this program
The Mississippi Workforce Enhancement Training Fund provides reimbursement for approved costs related to training and upskilling programs that enhance employee productivity. AccelerateMS oversees use of WET funds in collaboration with the Mississippi Community College Board, with priority for existing Mississippi businesses and training in core and horizon industry sectors.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include Mississippi employers, training providers, and communities supporting approved training for existing workers, newly hired employees, job seekers, or individuals reentering the workforce in priority industries and occupations.
Requirements
- Training must enhance employee productivity or the market value of employee skillsets.
- Training must be approved by AccelerateMS in coordination with the Mississippi Community College Board when applicable.
- Eligible projects may include training new or existing employees, train-the-trainer activities, or vendor training.
