About this program
Maryland Neighborhood BusinessWorks provides gap financing to small businesses and nonprofit organizations in sustainable communities and priority areas. Frederick businesses and nonprofits may use NBW loans for acquisition, construction, renovation, equipment, leasehold improvements, working capital, and other eligible uses.
Eligibility
Small businesses and nonprofits located in eligible Maryland priority funding areas or sustainable communities, including Frederick neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Apply through Maryland DHCD or approved lender channel
- Provide business plan, financials, collateral, project budget, and use-of-funds documentation
- Meet underwriting, location, and eligible-use requirements
