About this program
Naugatuck can use tax increment financing as an economic development tool to support eligible public improvements, infrastructure, and redevelopment activities that help catalyze private investment and expand the local tax base.
Eligibility
Developers, property owners, and businesses with eligible development or redevelopment projects in approved Naugatuck TIF areas or under local economic development agreements.
Requirements
- Contact Naugatuck Economic Development Corporation before finalizing the project
- Submit project scope, location, investment, expected assessed value, jobs, and public improvement needs
- Receive Borough review, agreement, and required approvals before assistance is committed
