About this program
The Greenville County Redevelopment Authority Facade Improvement Program provides financial assistance for exterior improvements to commercial buildings in the central business districts of several Greenville County municipalities, including Fountain Inn. The program provides up to $5,000 as a declining-balance, non-interest-bearing forgivable loan, reimbursed after approved work is completed. Eligible improvements include exterior signs, awnings, painting, masonry, lighting, windows, entrance modifications, storefront reconstruction, and restoration of historic features.
Eligibility
Property owners, purchasers, or business tenants improving eligible existing commercial buildings in Fountain Inn's central business district may apply if the project meets job creation or retention and program documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Commercial building must be located in Fountain Inn's eligible central business district.
- Building must have commercial use at the ground floor.
- Applicant must certify at least one full-time or part-time low- or moderate-income job will be created or retained as a result of the loan funds.
