About this program
The CMVOST grant funds organizations that train individuals in the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles, with priority for current and former members of the Armed Forces, National Guard, reservists, certain military family members, and underserved communities. Eligibility
Eligible educational institutions and training providers meeting FMCSA, Department of Labor eligible training provider, WIOA, and VA approval requirements; for-profit firms and individuals are not eligible direct applicants.
Requirements
- Submit federal grant application with training curriculum, CDL safety plan, recruitment strategy, military or underserved community focus, budget, placement plan, and required federal forms.
