State and local tax incentives for approved purchase, lease, rehabilitation, or construction projects in Bismarck Renaissance Zone areas.
About this program
Bismarck uses the North Dakota Renaissance Zone program to encourage downtown and core-area reinvestment. Approved projects may qualify for local property tax exemptions and state income tax incentives for qualifying construction, rehabilitation, purchase, or lease activity.
Eligibility
Property owners, developers, businesses, and residents with qualifying projects in Bismarck Renaissance Zone areas.
Requirements
- Confirm project location is in an approved Bismarck Renaissance Zone block
- Apply and receive approval before beginning qualifying activity
- Submit project costs, ownership or lease documentation, plans, and compliance materials
