Brownfield and Grayfield Redevelopment Tax Credit — Green Building
Enhanced tax credits for Iowa brownfield (up to 30%) and grayfield (up to 15%) redevelopment projects meeting green building requirements — 6 percentage points higher than standard rates. Max $1.5M per project. $15M annual program cap.

Eligibility
Individuals, LLCs, S corporations, nonprofits, estates, or trusts undertaking qualifying rehabilitation of brownfield or grayfield sites in Iowa that also meet green building certification standards.
Requirements
- Property must qualify as a brownfield or grayfield
- Project must meet green building requirements for enhanced credit
- Application during July–August annual window
