Biloxi Community Development Block Grant Program

Biloxi administers CDBG entitlement funds for eligible community development and housing activities benefiting low- and moderate-income residents.

About this program

The City of Biloxi is a HUD Community Development Block Grant entitlement community and receives an annual allocation to support eligible community development and housing activities that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income residents. Biloxi's CDBG-funded projects address unmet needs identified through the annual action planning and consolidated planning processes and may include public services, housing-related activities, public improvements, blight prevention, and urgent community development needs.

Eligibility

Eligible nonprofit organizations, public agencies, community partners, and qualified project sponsors serving Biloxi residents may seek CDBG funding through the city's annual CDBG process.

Requirements

  • Project must serve City of Biloxi residents or eligible areas.
  • Activity must meet a HUD CDBG national objective, including benefit to low- and moderate-income persons, prevention or elimination of slums or blight, or urgent community need.
  • Applicant must be an eligible subrecipient or implementing partner under CDBG rules.
