Montana Trades Education and Training Tax Credit
Montana employers who pay for trades education or training for employees can claim a tax credit equal to 50% of qualifying expenses, up to $2,000 per employee and $25,000 total annually. Expenses must be paid to unrelated third parties for tuition, fees, books, supplies, or equipment for developing trade skills.

Eligibility
Montana employers that pay for qualifying trades education or training expenses for employees who work (or are expected to work) in Montana for at least 6 months during the year.
