About this program
EBMUD WaterSmart Landscapes rebate supports lawn conversion, irrigation upgrades, and other outdoor water-saving improvements for eligible properties in Oakland and the East Bay.
Eligibility
Eligible EBMUD customers, including businesses, multifamily properties, HOAs, and institutional properties, with qualifying landscape conversion or irrigation projects.
Requirements
- Apply and receive approval before beginning project
- Remove qualifying lawn or install eligible irrigation improvements
- Submit measurements, photos, invoices, and post-project verification
