About this program
EPA Brownfields grants help communities and eligible entities assess, clean up, and plan for reuse of contaminated or potentially contaminated properties. Great Falls public agencies, nonprofits, and redevelopment partners can use these grants for eligible brownfields work when national competitions are open.
Eligibility
Eligible local governments, tribes, nonprofits, and other entities with qualifying brownfields assessment, cleanup, or planning projects.
Requirements
- Submit EPA grant application with site eligibility, work plan, budget, community need, and reuse strategy
- Meet ownership, access, environmental, and threshold criteria for the selected grant type
- Comply with federal grant management, procurement, reporting, and cleanup standards
