About this program
Delaware brownfield programs provide technical and financial assistance for assessment, investigation, and cleanup of contaminated or underused sites to return properties to productive commercial, residential, or community use.
Eligibility
Eligible property owners, developers, municipalities, nonprofits, and project sponsors with qualifying Delaware brownfield sites.
Requirements
- Contact DNREC brownfields staff before beginning assessment or remediation
- Provide site information, environmental history, ownership or access, reuse plan, budget, and project readiness
- Comply with environmental review, remediation, reporting, and redevelopment requirements
