About this program
The Michigan Business Development Program is a Michigan Strategic Fund incentive administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation for competitive business expansion or location projects that create qualified new jobs and/or make qualified new investment in Michigan. Support may be structured as performance-based grants, loans, or other economic assistance, with awards tied to job creation, wages, investment, local support, and project need.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are businesses locating in or expanding in Michigan that create qualified new jobs or make qualified investment and can show that assistance is needed for the project to proceed in Michigan.
Requirements
- Business must create qualified new full-time jobs and/or make qualified new investment in Michigan.
- Project must be economically sound and create a net positive return to Michigan.
- Project must be competitive with a location or expansion option outside Michigan.
