The Chinatown Lease Incentive Grant supports small businesses signing long-term leases that maintain or enhance Chinatown's cultural heritage.
About this program
The FY26 Chinatown Lease Incentive Grant Program provides grants to small businesses that have or will sign long-term leases of at least five years in Washington, DC's Chinatown neighborhood and maintain or enhance the neighborhood's cultural heritage. Funding may offset rent costs or support eligible tenant improvements, and successful applicants may receive awarded amounts annually for up to five years subject to funding and annual certification.
Eligibility
Small businesses with or planning a long-term lease of at least five years in DC's Chinatown neighborhood that maintain or enhance Chinatown's cultural heritage.
Requirements
- Business must be located in or signing a lease in Washington, DC's Chinatown neighborhood.
- Business must have or plan to sign a lease of at least five years.
- Business must maintain or enhance the cultural heritage of Chinatown.
