Puerto Rico's SSBCI collateral support program provides collateralized guarantees to lenders to help small businesses access financing, with emphasis on low- to moderate-income and underserved communities.
Eligibility
Eligible Puerto Rico small businesses and borrowers, including Mayaguez businesses, applying through participating lenders and meeting SSBCI and lender requirements.
Requirements
- Apply through BDE or a participating lender
- Demonstrate financing need, eligible use of funds, and collateral gap
- Provide business, ownership, financial, credit, and compliance documentation
