About this program
Michigan EGLE provides brownfield redevelopment grants and low-interest loans year-round to local units of government and brownfield authorities for environmental assessments, due care planning, response activities, demolition, lead, mold, and asbestos abatement at contaminated properties with redevelopment potential.
Eligibility
Local units of government, brownfield redevelopment authorities, economic development corporations, and other eligible public bodies supporting qualifying brownfield projects in Michigan communities such as Ypsilanti.
Requirements
- Coordinate with an EGLE brownfield redevelopment coordinator before applying
- Submit eligible applicant, site, environmental, redevelopment, cost, and public benefit information
- Meet EGLE grant or loan terms, environmental, procurement, and reporting requirements
