About this program
The Veterans Business Fund (VBF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) providing supplemental, favorable-term loans to veterans (including service-disabled veterans) who need additional equity to qualify for a bank loan. VBF can match up to 50% of the equity requirement when paired with an approved bank loan. Funds support startup or expansion of a small business or franchise. Veterans must first apply for a bank loan to determine the equity requirement.
Eligibility
Veterans (including service-disabled veterans) who have applied for and been informed of their equity requirement by a bank lender; business must be at least 51% veteran-owned; applicant must provide 50% of required equity from personal sources.
