About this program
The Incumbent Worker Training Program is a competitive grant that helps eligible Tennessee businesses train and retain existing full-time employees by funding skills upgrades and process improvement training. Approved employers contract with their Local Workforce Development Area and are reimbursed for eligible training costs after documentation is submitted.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Tennessee for-profit businesses and health-care-related nonprofit businesses that have operated for at least one year, employ at least five full-time employees, are current on tax obligations, and are financially viable.
Requirements
- Business must be a Tennessee for-profit business or an eligible health-care-related nonprofit.
- Business must have been in operation for at least one year before application.
- Business must employ at least five full-time employees.
