About this program
The Local Economic Development Act allows New Mexico state and local governments to provide financial assistance for qualifying economic development projects, including land, buildings, infrastructure, and other project support tied to job creation and investment.
Eligibility
Qualifying businesses and economic development projects approved by the New Mexico Economic Development Department and local governments, including eligible Deming projects.
Requirements
- Coordinate with local government and NMEDD before project commitments
- Meet qualifying entity, public benefit, job creation, and investment requirements
- Receive local project ordinance or agreement approvals and comply with performance terms
