Enterprise Zone New Employee Tax Credit
Colorado state income tax credit of $1,100 or more per net new employee hired by businesses operating in an Enterprise Zone. Higher amounts available for agricultural processors and businesses in Enhanced Rural Enterprise Zones.

Enhanced Rural EZ counties for 2025-2026 include Alamosa, Archuleta, Baca, Bent, Cheyenne, Conejos, Costilla, Crowley, Custer, Delta, Dolores, Fremont, Hinsdale, Huerfano, Jackson, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Lake, Las Animas, Lincoln, Logan, Mineral, Moffat, Morgan, Otero, Phillips, Prowers, Rio Blanco, Rio Grande, Routt, Saguache, San Juan, Sedgwick, Washington, Yuma.
Eligibility
Businesses (including farms and ranches) located in a designated Enterprise Zone that hire net new employees working within the zone. Higher credits for agricultural processors and Enhanced Rural Enterprise Zone counties. Pre-certification required.
