About this program
Match on Main is an MEDC reimbursement grant program that supports eligible small businesses launching or expanding in traditional downtowns, main streets, and eligible business districts. Applications are submitted and administered by eligible local or downtown organizations, which subgrant funds to the selected business after project completion and documentation.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are municipalities, downtown development authorities, downtown management organizations, business support organizations, and community development organizations that nominate eligible place-based small businesses in traditional downtown or commercial districts.
Requirements
- Application must be submitted by an eligible local or downtown organization.
- Selected business must be a new or expanding place-based small business.
- Business must be located in an eligible traditional downtown or commercial district.
