Eligibility
Private and public developers of tourism attraction projects in Kentucky including sports complexes, recreational facilities, and projects integral to major convention or sports facilities; sports facility projects with costs exceeding $6 million that are integral to a major convention or sports facility qualify under a specific KTDA provision; general tourism attractions with project costs over $1 million and qualifying visitor draw also eligible.
Requirements
- Kentucky-based tourism attraction project meeting KTDA eligibility criteria (KRS 148.851)
- Sports/recreation facility projects integral to a major convention or sports facility must exceed $6 million in project costs
- Must produce tax revenues exceeding the requested sales tax refund amount
