About this program
Crypto Startup School (CSS) by a16z crypto is a 12-week immersive accelerator for early-stage crypto founders. Selected teams (typically ~30 per cohort) move to Los Angeles for the program and receive a $500,000 investment via SAFE in exchange for 7% equity (standard YC-style terms). Participants get intensive mentorship from a16z crypto partners, technical advisors, and successful crypto founders, plus access to the a16z portfolio network and resources. CSS focuses on protocols, DeFi, infrastructure, consumer crypto, NFTs, DAOs, and AI x crypto.
Eligibility
Founders building crypto/Web3 startups at the early stage (pre-seed or seed). Open globally; selected teams must relocate to Los Angeles for the program duration. Team size typically 2-4 cofounders.
Requirements
