AmeriCorps State and National Grants FY 2026
Federal funding to organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based interventions to strengthen communities through national service. Supports projects in education, healthy futures, environmental stewardship, economic opportunity, veterans services, and disaster services. Multi-state applicants apply directly; single-state applicants apply through state service commissions.
About this program
Awards are three-year grants with one-year initial budgets. Period of performance starts no earlier than July 1, 2026. State commission deadlines often precede the federal March 31 deadline.
Eligibility
Public or private nonprofit organizations (including faith-based and community organizations), Indian Tribes, institutions of higher education, local and state government agencies, and U.S. Territories. New and recompeting applicants must propose evidence-based or evidence-informed program designs and enroll 20+ AmeriCorps members.
