About this program

The Syracuse Economic Development Corporation Small Business Assistance Loan provides City of Syracuse small businesses with low-cost financing supported by American Rescue Plan Act funds. Eligible businesses may borrow up to $25,000 for working capital, payroll, inventory, machinery and equipment, furniture, fixtures, marketing, rent, utilities, insurance, renovations, or other approved business costs. The program is intended to support small businesses that are operating in Syracuse and need flexible capital to stabilize or grow.

Eligibility

Small businesses operating in the City of Syracuse that need eligible business assistance and can complete SEDCO application, documentation, and underwriting requirements.

Requirements

  • Operate a small business in the City of Syracuse
  • Use funds for eligible business expenses such as working capital, payroll, inventory, equipment, fixtures, marketing, rent, utilities, insurance, or renovations
  • Submit a completed SEDCO Small Business Assistance application
