The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP)-Planning provides funding to rural communities with significant opioid use disorder challenges to develop strategic, comprehensive plans for addressing the opioid crisis. This program supports the planning phase where communities can assess their needs, identify gaps in services, and create actionable roadmaps for opioid response initiatives. Eligible rural communities use these grants to convene stakeholders, conduct assessments, and develop plans that integrate prevention, treatment, recovery support services, and law enforcement coordination. Eligibility
Rural communities, tribal organizations, and rural local government entities with documented opioid use disorder problems. Must be located in areas designated as rural by HRSA standards. Organizations must demonstrate community need and capacity to develop comprehensive opioid response plans.
