About this program
Columbus offers a Jobs Growth Incentive that can provide a negotiated cash payment based on a portion of local income tax withholding for eligible new employees, supporting businesses that locate or expand in qualifying areas outside downtown.
Eligibility
Businesses locating or expanding in Columbus and creating eligible new jobs, subject to city review and negotiated agreement.
Requirements
- Engage City of Columbus economic development staff before project commitments
- Document new jobs, payroll, location, project investment, and public benefit
- Enter incentive agreement and meet performance and reporting requirements
