About this program
The Neighborhood Commercial Assistance Program provides grants to eligible retail and neighborhood service businesses for costs such as advertising, furniture, fixtures, equipment, exterior signage, computers, architectural services, and security equipment. New businesses can receive smaller startup grants and existing businesses can receive larger awards.
Eligibility
Eligible retail and neighborhood service businesses located in Rochester commercial buildings; home-based and nonprofit businesses are ineligible.
Requirements
- Business must be located in the City of Rochester and meet neighborhood retail or service eligibility
- Submit the appropriate startup or existing business grant application and cost documentation
- Complete eligible purchases first and request reimbursement with required documentation
