The New Mexico STEP Grant reimburses eligible small businesses for export development expenses.
About this program
The New Mexico State Trade Expansion Program helps eligible small businesses begin exporting or expand into new international markets. Administered by the New Mexico Economic Development Department with funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration, STEP reimburses approved export development expenses such as trade shows, foreign market sales trips, website globalization, translation, and related international business development activities.
Eligibility
New Mexico small businesses that meet SBA STEP eligibility requirements and are pursuing export sales or new international markets.
Requirements
- Business must be located in New Mexico.
- Business must qualify as an eligible small business under SBA rules.
- Applicant must be seeking to begin exporting or expand into new export markets.
